The Collaborators, a short film by John Baxa and Keller Davis

Installed on a random street corner, lost in the middle of nowhere, between bars and nighttime cityscape, a young filmmaking crew embarks on a low-budget film production, fueled by stress-induced creativity, professional fights and burgers. They are all reunited here to dramatize the story of a couple’s painful breakup, which should constitute the scenario of The Collaborators. But tension mounts between Eric and Connor, the director and the screenwriter, who happened to be lovers. In fact, they are clashing over two antagonistic and irreconcilable intrepretations of the initial script, throwing the project’s completion into question on the same occasion. The movie was written by John Baxa and directed by Keller Davis. The acting is breathtaking.
